Hello world, it's been a whole term since I posted anything here =_=....
Well, happy graduation! I'm ready to work as a professional now, but I'll never stop being a student.

Here are some paintings I did or fixed over the past 4 months for my project "Drifted." (Can you believe it? This thing actually has a name now.) Enjoy!

I've learned a lot of things by working on this project, but the result is still not quite as satisfying as i hoped. MAJOR CHANGES WILL BE MADE TO THESE PAINTINGS!!

So...here are some paintings I did over the past few weeks, and none of them is exactly "finished" >_<.

These are all for the project I've been working on and I'm doing it for every studio class homework....Hahaha...good way to be productive for a lazy person, right?

Personal Project

My friend Christy Zuo and I developed a story over the summer.

To cut a long story short: An orphan named Garth accidentally travels to different dimensions, and now he is trying to come back and save his friend Edmund from being used as lab rats by Sec. XII - a laboratory that is dedicated to do research on high intelligence, even if it requires inhuman experiments.

We agreed on the color key, basic concepts of different dimensions, and now we are working individually on our own environment designs.

I did ten thumbnails for each dimension (total 5 plus real world=6), out of which half will be colored, and one of them will be taken to final.

So here are 3 sets...

Basically I have been very unproductive during the past week or so.
There's no excuse to slack off, but.....TERM 6.5 END RIGHT NOW PLEASE!
I need a break away from art center, and a lot of time to work on my portfolio so that it's not embarrassing to be shown.
Hopefully there will be internship opportunities during the summer, and I hope there are spots in the Concept Design Academy---one class is only 500 bucks for 10 weeks. What the hell? You godly people ever there? Come and teach in Art Center.

Ahhhhhh! The past week has been so stressful for me---I only slept for about 8 hours in three days.
Homework, 6th term review, and internship applications (Good luck to myself, and whoever is applying!)
I'm glad it's all over now and I can finally relax a little bit.

OMG I'm sooo glad to be done with this term! T_T
I finished all the final projects, and there's just one more class tomorrow. Hooray!

---This is probably one of the most helpful and motivating class I've taken so far. Not that the teacher teaches amazing techniques or anything, My friends and I just worked very hard on the homework together and before you know it WE CAN SKETCH IN PEN NOW. Haha, now i can draw way faster with a lot more confidence.

-----Final Project (Scroll): Okay I never intended this but all my projects end up very Chinese. And a lot of them aren't even my ideas! Anyways, I can't really defend myself, since evidences are all here. I guess the fobbiness is just in my blood.

This is the new redesign for "fish".
I think my "robotic" skills are getting better...a little. No? Ughh...fine, I'll make it fancier next time.

So as you may know, Haku, Christy and I are designing for a story we made up.
Haku's doing environment. Christy is doing demons and props, and I'm doing mostly characters, anything that's human.
Basically this is resulted from being depressed looking at godly drawings by working professionals.
If we can make this work, it's really going to help us build our portfolios.
The project is going well so far. We are still working on the story and we already started designing (hopefully).
Here are just some initial characters that I did as scraps for Dynamic Sketching.
I know they don't look that amazing...but they will be.
P.S. It feels good to work hard together with people who have the same goals as me.
